WR 통합형 Instructional videos

           Both the article and the lecture discuss the effect of instructional videos.  While the article's author says that instructional videos have many positive functions to use in a classroom, the speaker claims that the educational video should not be allowed for students.

 

           The article's author insists that using instructional videos can make many students to concentrate on their study emotionally more engaging.  Debating this point, the speaker argues that instructional video have disadvantages. The instructional video is likely to offer one-side educational information for students.  In other words, it is possible to omit an important massage as they will be able to more brief educational materials.  Also, it is possible to send wrong information to students.

 

           According to the reading, instructional videos allow information to be delivered in a format with which students today are more familiar and comfortable.  However, the speaker challenges this assertion, saying that it is harmful for students who have not good reading skills.  Because many students are not familiar with reading a book, instructional videos will make a poor reader.  And the goal of education is enhancing critical skills

 

           Finally, the speaker points out that using educational videos spend more money to other things.  If a machine such as video player or video projector is broken, they will not only spend more money to repair the machine but also spend lots of time waiting for fix machines.  As a result, using educational video use more money than writing on a board.  This contradicts the article's assertion that educational video will save more money as development of video technology becomes more sophisticated and also becomes less expensive.
